Dylans's Birthplace can be said to have scooped the board with success in three categories at the prestigious Swansea Bay Tourism Awards organised by Tourism Swansea Bay with media partners the South Wales Evening Post and Swansea Sound/The Wave..
A record attendance of nearly 450 packed the Brangwyn Hall for dinner followed by the awards hosted by Badger from The Wave
First Award for Dylan's was the Best Visitor Attraction sponsored by Pear Communications
Innovation in Marketing sponsored by Harcourt Colour Print - was won by the City Council's Premier League Football Campaign with Dylan's picking up a runners up spot for its new and innovative ways to attract visitors to the area through, for example, the use of technology and social media.
No sooner was that out of the way and the Dylan team were up again to pick up the major award of Best Visitor Experience sponsored by City and County of Swansea. Visitor comments played a big part in demonstarting that Dylan's has the 'Wow' factor in providing a unique and memorable visitor experience
All the awards are attributable to the hard work of the team at the Birthplace who from Day One have worked together.
