Welcome
to 5 CWMDONKIN
DRIVE - and join us on a journey through
history. This house played a large part in shaping the style
and output of one of the finest poets of the Twentieth Century. Dylan
Thomas was born in the first floor front bedroom of the house in 1914
and continued to return to the family home until his parents moved out
in 1937. Over two thirds of his published output was written in this
house
The
house is being restored to original condition when bought as a new house
in 1914 and the
progress of the work will be chronicled on this website. When the work
is complete the house will be let as a themed holiday experience - for
example, if you book for 14th August 2008 you will go to 5 Cwmdonkin
Drive on 14th August 1914 - no phone, no television and no radio!
Make a
booking enquiry now - only 300 people a year will be fortunate enough to
enjoy the Cwmdonkin Drive Experience
