Dylans going for Guinness - World Record Attempt - 25th October 2.00 - 4.00pm. STOP PRESS - World record for number of Dylans in one place set, British record for people with same first name smashed. 25 Dylans including one girl, a baby of three weeks from Ireland. Next year we will do even better

Dylan Look a Like Challenge - Uplands Tavern - 26th and 27th October. The preliminary roind on Monday 26th October (7.00pm) is just the scene setter for tne big final on Dylan's birthday when male and female Dylan Look a Likes fight it out for the the title

Tuesday 27th October THE MAIN EVENT

10.00am and 2.00pm Dylan Around the Uplands Starts outside Swintons Insurance on Uplands Crescent. A circular walk which visits many of Dylan's favourite haunts including the unchanged Cwmdonkin Park,the restored 5 Cwmdonkin Drive and the much changed Uplands Cinema and Mrs Ferguson's sweet shop

Led by Roger Williams with readings from Cicely Hughes and Derek Norton the walk includes an information pack and lasts about one and a half hours.

11.00am and 1.00pm Book Signings at the Uplands Bookshop. We've brought together the two people who probably know more about Dylan Thomas than anyone else. Paul Ferris has written the definitive biography Dylan Thomas - The Biography and edited his collected letters. Paul has also just published an enthralling book about Gowr.

Gwen Watkins knew Dylan through her late husband Vernon Watkins better than anyone and wrote about them in Dylan Thomas:Portrait of a Friend. She was also a codebreaker in Bletchley Park and will be signing copies of her books Cracking the Luftwaffe Code

10.00am to 4.00pm Summer Fete in October

Come and join the fun. Hook a Turkey for Mrs Protheroe (you will remember that in A Child's Christmas in Wales Mrs Protheroe burnt the turkey and the fire brigade was called),

Other stalls include balloons, have your photograph taken as a Dylan chracter, craft stalls, barn tubs, tombola and lots, lots more....

7.30pm Dylan and Friends The Chattery The acclaimed poet Peter Thabit Jones teams up with musician Terry Clarke to perform works by and about Dylan
