The first ever Swansea Bay Tourism Awards were held at the Brangwyn Hall on 8th November 2006. Organised by Tourism Swansea Bay in association with Genero Productions the theme for the evening was Swansea Bay Rocks - the year round visitor destination.
The Morriston Orpheus Choir kicked off the evening with a series of Rock Classics and after the awards ceremony hosted by Owen Money there was a Swansea Bay Rocks talent competition. The keynote speech was delibvered by the Minister for Tourism in the Welsh Assembly Government - Andrew Davies AM
